I try to keep things simple, I love music and I play music, it's basically my life along wtih being a rathr poor student, wait that came out wrong, I don't have trouble with the material, i make very good grades, I just have trouble holding onto a dime. I wonder why they've never re-released the early Doors albums in Mono sound on CD? It was extremely successful for The Beatles recently. A
few years ago I heard some of the Doors songs in Mono from the first
album and they sounded great especially increasing the impact of the
drums.

Just found out these are available in a boxed set called Perception, release a couple of years ago and released again in 2008.
Wish they had Absolutely Live and American Prayer as well.

This has probably been previously discussed here, but the most underrated or underappreciated Doors song that first comes to mind
first is 'Twentieth Century Fox' on their debut album. It's
ironically ironic to me that it's featured on only 1 compilation that
I know of (such as "Best of" or "Greatest Hits").

I've just completed my first run-through of this set - a real treat. Live versions of Unhappy Girl, Summer's Almost Gone, and My Eyes Have
Seen You, plus a nice early version of When the Music's Over. A
distinctly different sound than the 1969 - 70 Doors, which all the other
Bright Midnight releases are from. Highly recommend it.
